This workshop is a required intro to future specific Accent courses we will be offering, so don't miss it! You will learn: The basics of phonetics, how our bodies shape and make soundUnderstanding where an accent lives in the mouth and tricks to master itThe International Phonetic Alphabet, which will allow you to translate any text phonetically to serve a desired accentHow to listen to an accent to identify it's specific vowel sounds, etc.Schedule: Wednesday 6:30-9:30pm Thursday 6:30-9:30pm Get $50 off our August Accents Course when you register for this workshop by July 14th!! About Your Coach: A classically trained actor for over 20 years, Jonathan Lee Taylor has performed in theatres across the US and appeared on television, films and national commercials. He has been nominated for multiple awards and as an Equity Actor, he has over 1,500 performances at the Kennedy Center with America’s longest running comedy "Shear Madness". As a narrator, he has had to master dozens of specific accents, voices and dialects in providing the voice of over 100 audio book titles. Having worked in New York and Washington DC for the past two decades, Jonathan is excited to be bringing his expertise in storytelling to Georgia.
