Girl Kidnapped, Forced Into Vehicle: FBI

PERU, IL — Two men were spotted early Monday forcing a teenage girl into a white vehicle, initially described as a pickup truck with a topper, in Peru, Illinois, the FBI said. It happened around 5:05 a.m. near the intersection of Plum and 7th Streets, according to a news release from authorities. The FBI said the girl appeared to be 14 to 16 yeas old. Multiple witnesses said they saw two men screaming, yelling and forcing her into the vehicle. The vehicle may be a white Ford Excursion, a full-sized SUV, the FBI said. Anyone who has tips that may help identify the kidnappers or the victim is asked to contact the FBI, which can be done anonymously, at 312-421-6700 or the Peru Police Department, 815-223-2151. Details on victim and attacker descriptions will be provided as available, the FBI said.
