ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst saw another low rate of increase in new coronavirus cases in the last week, according to the DuPage County Health Department. As of Sunday, the city had 4,404 cases, an increase of 10 cases from the week before, or a 0.2 percent hike. The previous week also saw an increase of 0.2 percent. The number of those who have recovered is unavailable. As of Sunday, the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst stayed the same in the last week, at 68. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1.5 percent.
