Description
Key Responsibilities: · Isolate finished batches in the finished goods warehouse until inspected by the Quality Assurance department to be released, wrapped, and stored until shipping. · Inspect and maintain all equipment and notify direct supervisor if an issue arises that can’t be resolved and needs the maintenance staffs' support. · Follow all safety, sanitation, operational, and general company policies and procedures. · Study shipping notices, bills of ladings, invoices, pending orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and ship methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. · Assist with incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. · Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, seal truck doors on dedicated truckloads of materials, and ensure LTL carriers padlock their trailer prior to leaving our facility. · Inspect material handling equipment (Forklifts) for defects and notify maintenance personnel and the Warehouse Manager, who can contact an outside service facility for repair. · Maintain daily forklift check sheets, warehouse inspection forms, truck log, receiving log, and raw material sampling log. · Direct movement and storage of shipments from shipping and receiving dock to storage, work and staging areas. · Prepare bills of ladings, enter received materials into inventory via the Crystal Reports system, and verify received materials against Purchase Orders. · Adhere to written and oral instruction. · Place safety at the forefront when operating forklifts. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: · Coordination of activities in verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing materials. · Forklift operation (Roughly 20-30% of the day) · Entering inbound materials into inventory via data entry · Preparing items for shipment · General housekeeping duties · Monitoring and record daily temperature and humidity levels in raw and finished goods material warehouses · Wrapping and storing finished goods materials *Reports to the Warehouse Manager Qualifications: · The ability to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis · High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) · License to operate a forklift and other lift trucks or prior experience · 2+ years warehouse experience preferred · 2+ years experience using RF scanners preferred What you can expect from us: · $15.00 per hour 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday · A comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401k plan, and life insurance · Company provided uniforms · Generous paid time off and a paid holiday program
