AGOURA HILLS, CA — Temperatures in Agoura Hills are expected to reach 100 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday, and remain in the upper 90s throughout the week. The heat wave is expected to strain the power grid, and residents may experience blackouts and brownouts. Should that happen, Agourans can head to nearby cooling centers, county designated spaces for free, public air conditioning. Here are the centers closest to Agoura Hills: Westlake Village Library, 31220 W. Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village; open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Topanga Library, 122 N. Topanga Canyon Road, Topanga; open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. OneGeneration Senior Enrichment Center, 18255 Victory Boulevard, Reseda; open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. See the County website for a full list of sites. Visitors are asked to wear masks, maintain six feet of social distancing, and refrain from entering if they're experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. Staff reserve the right to turn people away to maintain social distancing levels.
