HOOVER, AL — A former Auburn University and NFL star and his wife have opened a new restaurant in Hoover. Reggie and Michelle Torbor opened Taproot Cafe at 5190 Medford Drive, Suite 124, according to a Birmingham Business Journal report. The restaurant focuses on locally sourced ingredients from farmers markets and food makers, and will serve smoothies, salads, sandwiches and toasts in the 1,100-square-foot space.
