Job Description: Perform routine scheduled vehicle/equipment maintenance and inspections. Perform hydraulic, electronic or mechanical repairs or adjustments on vehicles/equipment. Interpret symptoms, evaluate, analyze and test systems to determine causes of improper operation. Maintain and overhaul vehicle/equipment to manufacturers' specifications. Set up new vehicles/equipment including fabrication work and company markings. Make proper entries on repair orders, inspection forms and other necessary documents. Make service calls to make adjustments, inspections and repairs in the field. Perform welding, gas torch, and simple machine work as required. Must report to work fit for duty and free from the effects of drug and alcohol abuse. Keep facilities, tools, and shop equipment neat, clean orderly and in good working order. Continue to stay abreast as to new procedures, equipment, technology and applications. Communicate all pertinent shop activity with Lead Mechanic and other shop personnel. Be aware of shop working hazards, observe shop/Company safety rules and apply safe shop practices.
