Summary: Responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair and operation of the refrigeration system, engine rooms and cold rooms. Job requirements: • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, up to 7 days a week during peak seasons • Work alternating weekends on a “on-call” basis, two weekends on followed by two weekends off • Be “on-call” 7 days a week, if required • Must be punctual and dependable • Ability to work independently • Must be able to access system through cell phone Preferred Skills & Duties: • Ammonia awareness—Rebuild B.P.R., Replace float switches, solenoid valves • Understand Electrical Voltage 220—480—279—120 • Oversee compressors, oil, head pressure, and suction • Daily checks of refrigeration rooms & fans • Understanding of mechanical fundamentals • Computer knowledgeable • Maintenance and cleaning of engine rooms, as needed • Other duties as assigned Additional Requirements/Skills: • Valid Driver’s license • Ability to drive a forklift • Knowledge of Controlled Atmosphere (CA) test equipment • Ability to use needed mechanic tools • Pre-employment Drug/Alcohol test • Pre-employment Background check Some experience preferred, but not required.
