Job information:
Accessible Homes is a general contracting company in the Twin Cities. We perform residential remodels for people with disabilities. We are looking to add an apprentice carpenter to our team.
Most of the work is located within the metro area. We do travel outside of the metro, but typically have only 2 projects a year that requires overnight stays.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Preference of 2-year degree in construction

Skills:
-skilled with power tools: skill saw, compound miter saw, concrete saw, sawzall, level, tape measure, hammer drill, etc...
-skilled with hand tools: tape measure, speed square, framing square, chalk line, hammer, coping saw etc...
-ability to move and lift heavy objects
Job Responsibilities:
Carpentry:
-remove drywall
-take down walls
-frame doorways
-widen doorways
-frame walls
-build ramps
-install or patch subfloor
-install exterior doors and windows
-install glass block windows
-install glue down vinyl plank flooring
-insulate
-clean-up
Finish Carpentry:
-install interior doors and casing
-install baseboards
-install grab bars
-install vanity cabinets
-install shower rods
-install mirrors
Specialty items (will train):
-install roll-in shower bases
-install automatic door openers
-install ceiling tracks
-install bracing for ceiling tracks
