The Facilities Tech performs all general facility maintenance on our large campus. This includes inspections and maintenance of our heating and plumbing systems, as well as general cosmetic improvements to the facilities and grounds. This role acts as a member of the facilities team to ensure all Maintenance requests and repairs are done in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Candidates must be available to be on call on a rotating basis and respond to campus and system emergencies on off hours. Accountabilities Inspect and provide basic repairs of HVAC Systems Maintain plumbing and operating systems in guest areas Building repairs as needed including but not limited to, windows, doors, paint, rugs, etc. Review facilities tracker and completes open items tasks and guest requests Office and guest room furniture moving and assembly Provides backup to Campus safety as needed Supports grounds department as needed for seasonal cleanup and snow removal Ensures proper safety measures are taken and in place for all repairs Works across the organization when needed, to ensure best possible service to our guests Other duties as assigned Requirements COMPETENCIES Demonstrated commitment to valuing equity, diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Basic mechanical ability for operation and repair of equipment including hand and power tool skills HVAC maintenance experience Plumbing experience including repairing faucets, drains etc. Basic fabrication skills Valid Driver’s License Basic computer skills Outlook, Word and Excel MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS High School or equivalent Minimum 3 years experience in Maintenance or Construction field PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods Ability to climb stairs Ability to work in hot, cold or wet conditions as needed
