Head Custodian WORKLOAD OF 40 – 50 HOURS A WEEK The Cast Iron Group (CIG) Head Custodian oversees the cleanliness, inventory pulls, preventative maintenance and general facility maintenance of The Cookery and The Rickhouse facilities and monitors and oversees groundskeeping at all Cast Iron Group businesses (The Cookery, The Rickhouse, Dashi, and Ponysaurus Brewing Co.). Job Responsibilities include: Daily cleaning of The Cookery and The Rickhouse Routine cleaning and maintenance of The Cookery kitchen Inventory pulls to prep for events at The Cookery and The Rickhouse General maintenance of all CIG businesses Groundskeeping of all CIG businesses The Head Custodian is responsible for the cleaning of the event venue facilities on a daily basis, this includes tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, washing windows, and sweeping floors. This role is responsible for ordering and keeping inventory of materials necessary for the upkeep of all CIG buildings. The Head Custodian oversees all repairs and, in some cases, making the repairs themselves or coordinating outside contractors. This position is charge of routine maintenance of the building’s structural systems (like the HVAC unit) as well as overseeing the care and maintenance of the exterior grounds. All maintenance and repair work needs to be done in a timely and effective manner. This role has the opportunity for growth into a supervisory or management position for the right individual that demonstrates hard work, attention to detail, and ambition.
