Calling all Mechanical Technicians. Volt Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician for a company in the Riverside CA Area. Candidate will conduct tests on returned irrigation products and/or components to determine the root cause of failure. Creates detailed reports documenting test results, relevant information, conclusions and makes corrective action recommendations. ResponsibilitiesPerforms root cause failure diagnostic on productsPerforms tests to validate failure modeDevelops failures theories along with well thought out and relevant test protocols, and executes a series of test to scientifically determine the root cause of failurePrepares detailed reports documenting test results, root cause of failure determination and recommendations for corrective actions, using Microsoft Office software and digital pictures. Develops, builds and proves out various hydraulic and mechanical test fixtures and apparatuses as needed to prove or disprove potential failure mode theories. QualificationsAbility to read and interpret engineering documents and specificationsAbility to skillfully use various test equipment and technical apparatuses to collect operating parameters such as size, force, speed and distance. Experience using Calipers, Micrometers, Computerized Optical measurement devises, computerized force and displacement measurement machines, and similar equipmentProblem Solving: Skillfully identifies relevant variables and performance data related to the failure problem, in a timely mannerWritten Communication: Able to read and interpret written technical information.Oral communication: Demonstrates an ability to verbally communicate technical issues clearly and concisely to both technically skilled and unskilled audiences. Speaks persuasively with a positive outlook and actively participates in team meetings. Education/ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED. Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred.Minimum 5 years related experience in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical or electrical equipment systems machines.Must have ability to effectively use various electronic, hand and power test equipment, mechanical equipment Volt is an equal opportunity employer
