Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater is seeking a full time Handyman to join our team in taking exceptional care of the grounds and buildings. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB. IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS, THEN, PLEASE, DO NOT APPLY FOR THE JOB. This is a full time position that requires both gardening knowledge as well as some level of expertise as a "handyman". You may not have all, but you should have a significant amount of each requirement. Gardening: Knowledge of a wide variety of plants and their needs; (irrigation, pest control, fertilization, pruning, weed control, mulching, etc.) Handyman skills: Irrigation, minor electricity, carpentry, painting, plumbing, power washing, power tools including chain saws etc. This is a physically demanding position. It is a lot of outdoor work. Requires lifting up to 60 pounds, on occasion. Must also be able to climb ladders. Ability to work efficiently without supervision, after learning the requirements of the position. Successful applicant will occasionally work with another employeewho also does similar work. The Handyman must: -Be reliable, arriving at work, on time, day after day. -Read, write and speak English well. -Pass a drug test. -Must provide at least three work references - NOT personal references Other relevant aspects of the position: Job Type: Full-time Hourly wages $14-$16 per hour. 40 hours per week. Involves the operation of small equipment and tools, including: *Saws *Push mowers *Trimers/Edgers *Forklifts *Scissor Lifts Full Time employees are eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401k and Paid Vacation. 401K and Vacation after 1 year of service.
