I think the dude who commented on the Sewel rock band post was pretty accurate. I am a drummer and i watched the video clip of the drummer from the band. The guy isn't a bad drummer but he does need to work on his hands, technique and discipline. The one thing i noticed about most bands and players in the South Jersey area is that everyone is great even if the player they are talking about really isn't. Everyone just kind of goes with the flow cause if you say anything different you get attacked. You can take it for what it is but i speak from experience cause i was like this drummer. I found a great teacher and when he pointed my weak spots out to me and showed me what things should sound like, i didn't get defensive and go hide in a corner. I said ok lets get to work. Thats the point the dude who posted was trying to make. He never cut the drummer up and in my opinion was very matter of fact and never said give up or you suck. Just stating what he saw and heard.
