You can lower your CO2 footprint by collecting and recycling your food waste /kitchen scraps. Many counties (such as Sweden, Korea and Japan) are doing it for all households. In Korea you can not put organic waste to trash and must recycle it correctly. If you are not doing compost in your garden regularly, I strongly suggest considering doing what I have been doing since August 2020 - collect your food waste and deposit it at West Lafayette recycle station.
