Job Description Patio Pools of Houston is a commercial swimming pool and fountain design & build firm who has been in business for more than 45 years. We operate solely in Texas with some projects built in other major Texas cities. Our continued success has created a need for a construction crew leader which will perform primarily pool piping installation and swimming pool shell rough-in, along with tile installation, stone installation, and miscellaneous tasks. Crew leader will arrive to the office and drive a company truck to the job site to perform the daily duties with 2 skilled tradesman. Just like most small companies, its employees wear many hats. The person awarded the position will learn and assume responsibility of the following activities: + Drive company vehicle to job sites to perform daily duties + Lead crew of 2 skilled laborers + Read, understand and build according to construction piping plans + Install pool pipe and fittings, ditching, backfill, compacting + Install pool tile, grout + Install stone caps and stone cladding, grout + Layout a swimming pool, build simple wood forms + Shoot grades with optical level and laser level + Material pickup for delivery to laborers at jobsite + Complete written forms (daily reports, safety, etc.) + Miscellaneous pool related construction tasks + Work Saturdays when work load permits; + No Sunday work. No after hours work. + Occasional drive to other city and return home on same day or stay 1-4 nights. Requirements: + Must have piping installation experience + Must have construction experience + Multi-lingual English and Spanish is required + Must have good verbal communication skills in English and Spanish + Must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing + Must have dependable transportation + Must be at least 21 years of age + Must be able to meet all physical requirements + Daily work starts at 7:00AM + Must be able to read and write in English + Experience operating a skid steer and mini-excavator is a plus + This position requires 5% travel, which includes an overnight stay in Texas We offer training and a competitive payment commensurate with experience.
