Live-work opportunity at an Eco-Village Wellness Retreat in Pollock Pines, CA We have a 20-acre property in the Sierra Nevada foothills, about 15 minutes north of Placerville and 50 minutes south of Lake Tahoe. We are seeking a live/work trade with the right community members to reside full-time on the property and enjoy all the amenities with us. The residency includes: • Place for your camper, yurt or tiny house (or one will be provided) on the quiet, wooded property with trails, a creek and amazing sunset views. • Healthy meals, created with organic ingredients whenever possible • Access to the community car for trips and errands • Access to a (future) range of classes and retreats, but no obligation to participate • Opportunities to develop and gain skills in new areas • Opportunities to teach your own art/craft and host classes/retreats • A living stipend depending on the type of trade and amount of hours contributed Resident skill sets we are seeking: 1. Construction/carpentry of creative structures such as yurts and treehouses 2. Permaculture/landscaping 3. Gardening and managing the one-acre garden, 18 fruit trees and greenhouse of medicinal herbs 4. Grocery shopping and cooking low-carb, healthy and creative meals 5. Housecleaning, maintaining the cleanliness of the main cabin and auxiliary dwellings 6. Web development, class design, research and bookkeeping Please note that these are long-term positions. We are seeking mature and mindful community members who would like to be a part of the beginning stages of this ecolodge through its full development. We are especially interested in nuns, monks, retired folks and those who are committed to a quiet, meditative lifestyle.
