Seeking Landscape Contractor/Partner

Jobs

Walnut Creek CA

Description

Hi there, I’m a licensed landscape architect and Founder of YardKit (). I’m on a mission to make outdoor renovations simpler from start to finish — easier for both homeowners and landscape contractors alike. As part of this, I’m looking for a thoughtful, reliable, and collaborative landscape contractor to partner on a new YardKit offering specific to the Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and Alamo areas. Here is a bit more detail on what’s in store: Until now, I’ve only offered design services, though I’ll soon launch a new offering that accomplishes both the design and build side for homeowners. Yet this will be done very differently than traditional firms. How? I often hear from homeowners how overwhelmed they feel about all of the options when renovating. YardKit’s services will be specific to homeowners who like a more modern aesthetic. We’ll stick to a very concise palette of amenities and materials, guiding homeowners through decisions inside these offerings. This approach will reduce choices, create a design-forward outcome, and significantly increase installation efficiencies. We’ll have a highly clarified process: a design consultation, site design review, build, and refinement. Each step will be enabled with technologies. We’ll have a strong focus on brand and experience. Every homeowner needs to feel delighted by the process, our customer services, and the end result. I’m in the process of interviewing for a skilled landscape installation partner. This could be either an individual with a strong team of builders, or a small firm open to trying new things. The right match will: Be within easy driving distance and very comfortable working in Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and Alamo. Carry deep experience in outdoor renovations and the many specialty services they require (grading, irrigation, planting, hardscape installation, etc.). Take pride in responsive communication, dependability, and empathizing with customers. Be entrepreneurial, creative, and hard-working. If that sounds interesting, here is more on what’s in it for you: By providing more structure to the process and by limiting the materials, we believe we can significantly reduce project complexity and duration. This allows you or your firm to accomplish more jobs with less headache, ultimately leading to a boost in revenues. We’d consider it a success if your revenue substantially increased *while* allowing more time with friends and family. By leveraging our brand, marketing capabilities, and technology, we can together build a reliable, steady stream of work. Incoming projects will have repeatable components that make sourcing, installation, and communication simpler. You’ll spend a lot less time generating leads, or coordinating meeting times with homeowners, or trying to get through design decisions. That’s my job. Rather than reinventing each job, the YardKit method of building from a concise palette of amenities and materials will allow the projects we do take to be more enjoyable, simpler, and lead to incredible results. I’m currently interviewing. If you’d like to discuss, please email me with a brief note that shares more on you or your firm and we’ll find time to connect. Looking forward to meeting you if you think this is a fit! Janice
