Kittens and Puppies Need Moms Till 8 wks

I'm seeing an alarming number of ads searching to "re-home" (sell) puppies and kittens who are UNDER 8 weeks old. PLEASE understand that these animals need to stay with their mom and siblings until 8 weeks of age MINIMUM. Chances that they will develop illness and die are much greater if they are taken away too young. Of course, there will always be kittens who need rescue if they are abandoned or their mom dies, but those need to be bottle-fed and hand-raised until they are strong enough and old enough to re-home and receive proper vet vaccinations.
