It is highly recommended that participants wear sturdy walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and may wish to use sunscreen or bug spray. Also, while we love having dogs in the park, we do not allow them on the walking tours as we cannot anticipate if another attendee has serious allergies or phobias. We apologize for any inconvenience. Ringwood Manor is a designated National Historic Landmark located in northern New Jersey. The site was the summer home of the Cooper & Hewitt family, owners of the Cooper & Hewitt Iron Company during the 19th century. Donated to the State of New Jersey in 1938, the home is fully furnished in all the original contents of the family and includes more than 1,000 acres of historic gardens and landscapes. The site hosts numerous public tours, events, and programs throughout the year.
