JOB SUMMARY This full-time position will manage the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion, otherwise known as the L.E.A.D., Program. The program is designed to divert people who have committed non-violent or victimless crimes out of the criminal justice system and into contact with social services programming with a variety of agencies that provide services to the community; along with other related work as required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Coordinate development and implementation of LEAD Annapolis Strategic Plan by January 1st, 2021;• Coordinate and facilitate virtual planning meetings for sub-committees; • Coordinate collection and digitization of all sub-committee data and reports to be presented to executive committee monthly;• Coordinate and facilitate virtual monthly executive briefings; • Coordinate and facilitate weekly arrest/diversion dashboard report from APD Crime Analyst to determine hot spots or gaps in services; • Coordinate bi-monthly Mayor’s debriefing on LEAD project and goal status;• Manage all Public information requests about LEAD Annapolis in coordination with the Law Office and the Communications Officer;• Identity and Manage all Human Service/Public Safety gaps in servicesand develop action plan to build capacity where ever possible; • Coordinate Case Management and Peer Support RFP and or strategic partnerships• Coordinate and manage Operational Work Group meetings and reporting • Coordinate the development job descriptions and the hiring of LEAD Annapolis contractual positions;• Supervise and manage all LEAD Annapolis contractors and sub-committee partnerships; and• Perform related work as required.QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience Completion of a Masters in Social Work or Policy from an accredited college or university and at least one year of experience in public safety diversion programs OR a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Policy from an accredited college or university with three or more years of experience in similar programs. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ● Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;● Ability to use social media for promotional purposes;● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, civic and community groups, government officials and the public; ● Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing and ability to create publications and other communication tools;● Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems; and ● Ability to operate computers for data entry, word processing and/or recordkeeping purposes.
