WADING RIVER, NY —Four men in an aluminum boat were rescued from the Long Island Sound Sunday, police said. According to Riverhead Police, a call came in at 5 p.m. about a vessel in distress off Oak Lane in Wading River; the boat was about a half-mile offshore, police said. No injuries were reported, police said. The Riverhead Police Department's dive team responded and helped bring the four to shore, police said. The United States Coast Guard was notified, police said.
