Looking for advice on snare tuning. Just upgraded my vintage 70s “Ludwig” with “Aquarian” heads and “PureSound” 30 string snare wires’ that tighten with strings not nylon bands. No matter how tight I tie the knots, there is always too much slack left over, so the snares are too loose to sound crisp. If you have experience, know proper tightening non-slip knots, or have any advice at all, I would be most appreciative and in your debt. Thanks, big-time👍🏻 Gary
