Looking for young small loving dog preferably chihuahua/mix

(Photo of one dog I applied to adopt) Hello, I have been looking for a young short hair chihuahua or mix and it’s been quite difficult. I’m never first on the list with adoption applications. I would like young so that we can bond and chihuahuas/chihuahua mixes make me the happiest when I see their face and feel them but of course want one that loves me too. I was going to drive to Wisconsin, had someone offer to ship from DC, etc. but something didn’t feel right. People want to text me codes and all kind of bullshit. I need to meet the dog in person either in public or at your place with someone with me because I’m fearful and need to be safe. I am financially able to pay a rehoming fee and care for what will be like a baby to me and will almost always be with me. I actually have just about everything except food for my future dog. I am a veteran, 40 something year old female, have two adult children and a very kind and loving nine year old that is with me half the days of the week and I live with my fiancé. I quit real estate soon after COVID but do bank photos of the front of homes for people who are doing loan mods and don’t leave my car more than 20 feet or so for about one or two minutes at a time so my dog will go out with me- another reason I need a young dog or puppy, so it will get accustomed to car rides and not get sick. I am a homebody and try to be home as much as possible, though, I do sell a lot of items online on different platforms so yes, I love that and being home.
