Iso small breed potty pad trained companion animal

Hi, I was recently diagnosed with copd and I am on oxygen 24/7. I can go outside with oxygen tanks but I prefer to not do it 100 times a day :) I've heard that some large breeds, like Akita and others are actually happy in the home. I have been looking for a pomeranian, min pin, or tea cup chihuahua...but I'd love a full size protection animal as well. I have my letter from my doctor saying I am allowed this pet anywhere I go.
