Our drummer is moving to Chicago. Although we will miss him, we want to keep the ball rolling on cool music we are making. Join our three-piece band! We play a high-energy, chorusy, psychedelic indie pop. WE ARE: -Guitarist/Vocalist (32) and Bassist (30) -INFLUENCES--> jangle pop / math rock / dream pop / shoegaze / alt-rock / surf (both genre and hobby) / indie ---> There are elements of each of these in the music we play. We don't create rules. -10+ songs in the works -We like writing music feeding off energy of whole band (chemistry is key) -Me (guitarist) writes and sings songs. Songs are high energy pop. My guitar is heavily chorused and affected. Wobbly spacey tones. Bassist plays driving/thumpy basslines. Slow and fast tempos. -GOALS ARE: 1. Play shows in city and surrounding area 2. record 3. Be a unit (social media, photo, etc.) YOU MUST BE: -A GOOD PERSON and committed to the team -Plans to stay in NYC for at least 1-2 years -Intermediate/Advanced skill level---> you gotta be comfortable on the kit, creative and energetic -Able to play locals shows 1x per month. Maybe more down the line. -Able to do weekly rehearsals -Gig-ready--> (practice space, car, own kit, whatever you feel you need) -OK with people partying (infrequently) around you even if you don't partake---no holier-than-thou behavior Other projects I have been involved with: jrosounds.bandcamp.com Please send sound samples!
