Do you like the idea of working in some of the most epic wilderness east of the Rockies? You're probably a great candidate to learn/develop outdoor leadership skills with NY’s largest outdoor adventure company, in our 10th year of business. Our adventures explore NY's wilderness and include hiking, canoeing, backpacking and more and we're looking for adventurous, service-oriented, fun-loving, and hardworking individuals to join our team. We are hiring for two positions, Lead Guides and Apprentice Guides. Lead Guides - *Must have a valid NY State Outdoor Guide License, 5 years outdoor leadership experience (2 years minimum NYS guiding experience,) and a clean driving record. Apprentice Guides - *Outdoor skills are not a pre-requisite; but as we are a customer focused business, the ability to provide a great experience is. We value customer service/hospitality backgrounds, being responsible, dependable, high-energy, and easy to work with. *Apprentice Guides will acquire and develop skills using a personalized development plan customized to their outdoor leadership goals. *Becoming a NY State Licensed Outdoor Guide is not a requirement of the Apprenticeship, but for the right candidates, we offer scholarships for the test and certifications.
