Digital Wichita is back and we are bringing Social Media Day Wichita to Groover Labs on June 30th! Learn about community building and management from the United Way of the Plain's Chief Community Engagement Officer, Angie Prather. Angie is best known for bringing new life and attention to our Wichita Flag during her time as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce. Before her transition from the Chamber to the United Way, she helped launch the Wichita Chamber Business Accelerator, a weekly podcast devoted to supporting and learning from area business owners. Angie's work in marketing has been awarded by the Wichita American Marketing Association, Kansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and the National Federation of Press Women. In 2019, she was named the Kansas Communicator of Achievement, the highest honor bestowed by the Kansas Professional Communicators. She is a local and global citizen giving her time as a volunteer in 2017 and 2018 at Social Media Marketing World in San Diego, CA. Digital Wichita is a loosely-knit group of local social media aficionados founded in 2010. Now a bonafide not for profit organization, Digital Wichita produces educational events to help our community grow and prosper. Entry fees for our events are intended solely to cover production costs, with any additional proceeds going to future events or local charities.
