We are looking for a superhero Maintenance II – someone who can dig in and help with our building and resident requests in a wide variety of areas. What we need is a Superhero who has maintenance/facilities experience and has a natural caring and ease with older adults. For more about who we are: This Superhero will perform a variety of junior-to-intermediate tasks including: • Perform minor routine repairs in general facility and apartment units. • Report maintenance inventory status. • Conduct preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, changing belts, cleaning, filter changes, etc. • Perform apartment renovations including painting, cleaning and repairing. • Conduct inspections and record accurate, timely results. Check out our benefits and perks: • Competitive non-profit salary range: $23.83 – $25.48 hrly, non-exempt, DOE • 100% employer paid benefits: Medical/Vision/Dental/Life • Pension eligibility (a rarity these days!) • 403b Retirement Plan employer contribution at 1 year • 18 days of PTO and 8 paid holidays • Scholarship & Training Opportunities • Employee Assistance Program (to support work/life balance needs) • Discounted onsite meal option Here are the strengths and superpowers we’re looking for: • 1-3 years of maintenance experience in healthcare facility, residential building, or similar facility. • Willingness and ability to work weekends as required. • Strong customer service and teamwork approach and attitude. • Tact, courtesy and patience communicating with residents • Basic knowledge of safety practices; ability to comply with safety practices and guidelines relating to asbestos and industrial chemicals; safely handle equipment, knowledge and understanding of M.S.D.S. • Basic skills of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry techniques; ability to use power and hand tools. • Physical skills and ability to perform work that requires continual standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting up to 75 pounds. • Proficient English communication (written and spoken) skills to follow directions, document and communicate with residents and staff.
