Recharge under the full moon for a luminous evening of art and sound therapy led by Reiki Master Hannah Weintraub set in an art exhibit. WILL YOU ACCEPT THIS ROSE? The evening will being with a rose ceremony. Each participant will set a unique intention for themself. We will honor the divine within us, and offer self-love, self-forgiveness and most important, self healing from the guidance and love the roses carry. PASS THE BOWL Sit back, relax and float downstream to a whimsical sound bath while immersed in a contemporary art installation. Crystal singing bowls have an undeniable influence on the mind, body, and soul. The lustrous sounds restore the body’s cells, but they offer transformation, expanding consciousness, and a feeling of oneness with yourself and the universe. SHOW YOUR CARDS The evening will close with each individual receiving a tarot card. Afterwards, stay to enjoy a stunning contemporary exhibit by artist Sara Garden Armstrong. The exhibit showcases art spanning over six decades and includes sculptures, mechanical light, and soundscapes. **BYOYM: Bring your own yoga mat :) This event will take place in the Projects Space exhibition space. Please note it is unairconditioned, so dress accordingly and bring water bottles. About Hannah Weintraub: Hannah Weintraub is a Reiki Master and Yoga instructor based in Fort Lauderdale Florida. In addition to having a private healing business for those who identify as female, Hannah hosts New + Full Moon events to foster spiritual growth, healing, and self-discovery. Healing with Hannah explores the intersection of plant medicine, reiki, yoga and sound healing. Her goal is to allow you to reach a higher state of consciousness while keeping the mind still. In other words, she’ll help you become your happiest, healthiest, most spiritually-sound self. Hannah’s energy healing uses modern and ancient techniques that have been passed down for generations. Her yoga practice is geared towards meditation, breath work, and holding asanas for extended periods of time to unlock your ultimate bliss. About Sara Garden Armstrong Threads and Layers: Threads and Layers surveys works by Alabama native, Sara Garden Armstrong, representing an artistic legacy in Alabama and New York spanning six decades. This exhibition brings together handmade artist books, paintings, sculpture, and mechanical, light- and sound-based installations from the 1970s to the 2000s, and recent works covering Armstrong’s artistic production up to the present-day. Many of these works have never been presented together before. Armstrong’s continuing practice interprets life cycles and metamorphosis using movement, color, sound, texture, and light. On view in the Projects Space until Saturday, June 26, 2021.
