A celebration of community, environmental sustainability and art! Reconnect Reuse Days are a 4 part outdoor summer event series at Arts & Scraps that will promote sustainability in the community through socially distanced STEM activities with recycled materials, sidewalk sale, performances, food and opportunities for creative learning. The events are on the second Saturday of the month (June, July, August and September), 11am-5pm. There will be a food truck, DJ and artist demonstrations from 2pm-4pm. The community store will be open and have a sidewalk sale. Find us on social media! We are raising $20,000 to fund STEM Summer Programming for every Brilliant Detroit House. Arts & Scraps will teach free STEM lessons to neighborhood students during the months of July and August. Arts & Scraps is a Detroit nonprofit organization that annually recycles 28 tons of material to help 275,000 children think, create and learn.
