_______________________________________ Canvasser Job Description Hiring Immediately! Up to $25-$50 per hour*! Join our awesome field team to help gather signatures for the upcoming Seattle Mayor race! The City of Seattle has funding and signature requirements for all candidates to qualify and receive grassroots funding through the democracy voucher program. This job will involve going to places all around the city like grocery stores, parks, public streets, and gathering signatures from Seattle residents. Duties and Responsibilities: A successful canvasser needs to connect with the widest number of people. This position would require canvassers to gather democracy voucher forms from city residents and deliver them to the campaign. The ideal canvasser should have excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and a clear knowledge of the candidate and the democracy voucher program. They will also need a love for traveling, have an in-depth knowledge of the what they are presenting to the people, and be persuasive. Canvasser duties also include: •Memorize and recite scripts and statements prepared and provided by the campaign •Possibly go door-to-door or travel to a staging locations to gather signatures •Confidently answer questions •Attend events and exhibitions including fairs and rallies to gather signatures •Consistently meet daily and weekly quotas for information and signature acquisition *depending in total signatures gathered
