NEW HAVEN, CT — A 19-year-old New Haven man, Ricardo E. Figueroa-Garcia, of Dover Street, was killed in an accident on Interstate 95, north of Exit 47, State Police said. At 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Figueroa-Garcia was riding a motorcycle on the northbound side of I-95 in the right lane and a second vehicle approached at a high rate of speed as it changed lanes from the right center lane to the right lane, behind the motorcycle, State Police said. The vehicle struck the motorcycle from behind and Figueroa-Garcia was ejected from the motorcycle, State Police said. The second vehicle continued north and stopped in the right shoulder, State Police said. The driver of the vehicle left the car and fled the scene, State Police said. Figueroa-Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is under investigation. State Police are asking for help in identifying the second vehicle, which is described as a 1991, 2-door Acura Integra, color black with white colored driver and passenger side doors, lime green rims, a "Frankenstein" decal in the front windshield and an "Its Alive" decal in the rear window.
