Press release from City School District of Albany: June 11, 2021 Eighty-three career and technical education (CTE) superstars from Albany High School were inducted on Friday into National Technical Honor Society. National Technical Honor Society is a nationwide non-profit that honors the achievements of top CTE students, provides up $300,000 in scholarships annually and strives to help connect education and industry to build a highly skilled workforce. This is the first year Albany High has taken part in National Technical Honor Society. Students qualify for membership if they have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, focus on a CTE pathway or major, have one or more faculty recommendations and participate in work-based learning, job shadowing or internship opportunities. The following CTE pathways are represented in this year's group of inductees: barbering, business administration, construction, cosmetology, culinary arts, health science and pre-engineering.
