MILPITAS, CA — A LEGOLAND Discovery Center is opening in the Bay Area Monday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Great Mall in Milpitas.
The new Discovery Center, the first location built in California, is geared towards children ages 3-10, with a series of educational and interactive attractions for families to play with. In the 31,000-square-foot space, attendees can explore a 1.5 million-brick replica of the Bay Area, take an interactive train ride on the Imagination Express, watch 4D LEGO shorts and learn to build in master classes.
Birthday rooms, a cafe, a LEGO retail shop and other amenities are also available at the Milpitas location.
One-day passes are $23 per person, but annual passes are also available online at https://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/bayarea.
Monday's grand opening starts at 10 a.m. with guests including officials from LEGO as well as Milpitas and San Jose city officials.
