Press release from San Diego Community College District: June 11, 2021 The White House and the U.S. Department of Education have invited colleges across the country to join the efforts to end the pandemic by signing up for the COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge. San Diego Mesa and Miramar colleges have joined the White House Challenge, to host a series of vaccinations stations on campus in June and July of 2021, some of which will be in conjunction with the County of San Diego. Appointments and walk-ins (no appointment needed) will be available on specific dates, for students, faculty, staff and members of the community. The vaccines are available at no cost to everyone age 12 and older, regardless of immigration or insurance status. "We are taking this Challenge to keep every student, faculty, and staff safe, along with members of the larger Mesa College community," stated Mesa College President Pamela Luster. Vaccinations of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will available on June 16 through the County of San Diego, and will only require one appointment. Appointments in late June and July will be in conjunction with the White House initiative and the Federal Pharmacy Partnership Program.
