Roy Cooper has extended the state of Emergency. NC residents will also need to remain masked in risky settings until at least July 30. (US News)NC State researchers have had their experiments sent off to the International Space Station. The goal of the project is to be able to produce plants that will grow food for astronauts on long-term missions. (CBS17)A Raleigh man attempted to smuggle $4,000 worth of drugs into jail through his anus. Rashaud Kawaun James Thompson was taken to the hospital for an examination and 20 grams of crack cocaine was removed from his anus. (WNCT9)North Carolina's highest court has ruled that the state constitution can be used as a basis to prevent bullying. If a student feels they do not have access to a sound basic education due to harassment or unsafe schools, they can seek help from the courts. (CBS17)John Chavis Memorial Park has officially reopened for visitors. There is a brand new community center, playground, gym, and central plaza. The old carousel has also been remodeled and is open for rides. (WRAL) Today in Raleigh NC Bridal Expo will be at the NC State Fair Grounds. There will be live DJ demos, prizes, and giveaways.
