Press release from the University of Alaska Anchorage: June 10, 2021 Sara Juday, a research professional with Institutional Effectiveness and Institutional Research, is retiring on June 18, 2021. Since joining UAA in May 2010, she has been a key member of the Institutional Research team, analyzing data trends, collecting data to produce dozens of briefings and reports on a range of topics for UAA, the UA system and the UA Board of Regents. During her tenure at UAA, she produced 11 annual Performance Reports, documenting achievements of UAA students, faculty and staff. She served as a writer/editor for the UAA Accreditation Self-Study and the application for renewal of UAA's Carnegie Elective Community Engagement Classification in 2014-15. She researched and wrote the book, From Sourdoughs to Seawolves, which chronicles the development of UAA's athletic program and how UAA became known as Seawolves. She also edited the book, Becoming UAA, 1954-2014: The Origins and Development of the University of Alaska Anchorage, by William A. Jacobs. In looking back at her time at UAA, she said, "I've been immensely fortunate to work with so many wonderful people and I've learned so much. It's been an 'amazing' journey." One of Sara's colleagues summed it up well: "Sara Juday is a joy to work with. She's dedicated to the mission, a great problem-solver and her work is always of the highest order — a consummate professional in every respect."
