TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Tuscaloosa man was arrested Friday on multiple child pornography charges, following a lengthy investigation by the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force, the FBI and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Jshonathan Charles Roach, 34, was arrested late Friday on nine counts of possession of child pornography. However, investigators pointed out that the case is ongoing and is expected to result in additional charges.
Captain Phil Simpson, the commander of the Task Force, said the investigation began when FBI agents in Birmingham received information identifying Roach as a suspect in possession of obscene material depicting minors.
Roach is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with a total bond set at $135,000 or $15,000 per charge.
