Boutique High Tea Catering Company based in Mid-City Los Angeles. Assembling a roster of PREP COOKS and CATERING STAFF to help us with events! Business is picking up and we need a team available for occasional and/or part-time work. If you fit the following criteria, please contact us: - You LOVE High Tea and Event Catering! - You have ample experience in a professional kitchen, bakery, or other dining establishment. - You are interested in occasional/part-time work. - You are punctual, honest, reliable, friendly, professional, efficient, and operate well under pressure. - You are interested in working with a growing company. Bonus Qualifications: - You have received professional training. - You have a background in Pastry, Catering, or Fine Dining. - You are California Food Handler Certified. - You are skilled at photography, videography, and/or social media content. How It Works: - Since our business operates on an event-by-event basis, work opportunities are too unpredictable to hire a consistent staff at the moment. However, we are interested in putting together a roster of kitchen and event staff to have at-hand when we book events. As soon as we have an event on the calendar, we will reach out to the roster, and whoever is available for that date will be hired for the event. If you commit to a date, you MUST be available. - We prep all our food off-site so it is ready to serve when we arrive at the event. Our menu consists of finger sandwiches, savory morsels, scones, home-made lemon curd, and a variety of bite-sized desserts. If you are applying as a prep cook or general kitchen staff, you may be helping with one or all of the following: food prep, sauté, baking, and sandwich assembly. - We offer Full-Service High Tea Catering to our clients. In essence, we provide everything for the event aside from the table and chairs. If you are applying for an event staff position, you will be helping day-of with some or all of the following: packing the food and catering materials off-site, loading the vehicle and transporting to the venue, setting up the event space (table settings, plating food, brewing tea, etc.), providing full table service (pouring tea, serving sparkling apple cider, refreshing the plates, keeping tables neat and tidy, and possibly taking event videos and photos for our social media, website, etc.), cleaning up the event, and re-packing the car.
