Looking to Start a Dad Garage Band

Hey there! I’m a 38 year old dad with a three year old. I just started playing guitar about five years ago. I’ve never played music with another musician, especially a band. I don’t really know a ton of people here in Atlanta. But would love to start a “Garage Dad Band”. I’m thinking like 13 year olds forming a band. Just bad musicians with no egos just looking to make music because it’s fun. I’d love to write some fun easy rock/punk rock/pop punk/indie rock like songs. I love tons of music. Mostly I the Rock genre. I grew to love music on punk rock. White Stripes and Jack White and Bowie are my musical hero’s. Love Dinosaur Jr., old Blink, The Beatles, modern rock like Cage the Elephant, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, and love the Strokes! Should state I’m not really into playing any AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Gins and Roses type classic rock. Thought it would be a blast to find a few dads to share a beer with while playing some garage rock. Would also love to record some stuff using Garage Band or something. Not into anything crazy, but would love to find some laid back guys to share a few beers with occasionally and wrote some crappy songs with.
