Description

Is this your office this fall? The Jazz Station, a project of the Willamette Jazz Society, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is seeking volunteer stagehands to help us present live jazz performances in our downtown Eugene performance venue when we reopen in early September. Like the WoW Hall and other local arts non-profits, the Jazz Station relies on volunteers to bring great live jazz shows to our city. This is an opportunity to mix live shows performed by some of the most accomplished jazz musicians in the world. Typical duties include stage setup and breakdown, mic selection and setup, operating the lighting system, and mixing the show audio using our analog mixing console and sound system. We will provide training to learn our sound and lighting systems, but basic knowledge in operating a sound system and mixer is required. Prior experience as a stagehand, mix engineer, performing musician, and/or recording is very helpful. Volunteering at the Jazz Station is a great way to give back to the local music community, meet and network with others who share a love of performing live music and producing live events, and enjoying some truly great music. Thanks!
