Description
Solar installers are expected to be experienced in general construction, roofing, or any systems that use electricity. Our crews will need excellent physical stamina for lifting and mounting solar panels on our
clients’ roofs and know how to use power tools for constructing the framing of the panels and
configuring the wiring.
Solar Installers Duties and Responsibilities
Assembling solar panels and mounting the solar panels in accordance with codes and standards using
drawings, schematics, and instructions.
An electrical installation includes proper wiring, polarity, grounding equipment, determine the appropriate size
ratings and locations for all system overcurrent devices, disconnects, and surge suppression equipment.
Must know Enphase, SMA, and SolarEdge inverters, and be able to program, adjust or configure
Inverters, and be able to measure and analyze system performance and operating parameters to assess
operating conditions of the system or equipment.
Determine connection interfaces for additional subpanels, or for connecting systems to the utility.
Determine locations for array expectations.
Placing all required labels on the system components and hardware.
Installers are required to do final inspections.
Installers may be required to pull permits.
Installers may be required to do Site Surveys.
All installers are required to work outdoors during all seasons.
