Description
Uromastyx. Male. About a year and a half old. A little squirrelly. I had a 125 gallon I planned to put him in but some things have come up with life and it couldn’t happen. I want to adopt him out to someone who what more space and time for him.
Background on him: I got him from a pet shop… they had him in a 10 gallon tank with 2 iguanas.. they said he wasn’t as “big colored” as other uros.
I got him home and put him in a 20 gallon tank temporarily and got him a heat spot of 125 on the hot side and some actual tank decor. I do need to put in more soil/ mix. But he seems to like it! He does have a yellow belly and his healthier than he was before but still in progress. He eats greens daily and leaves what he doesn’t. He is currently still in the 20 gallon and will need a bigger tank.
He is on a soil and play sand mix! It’s 70% soil (no fertilizer!!! That’s important!!) and 30% sand (it has to be play sand!! It’s washed and not abrasive! Again this is important!!)
I’m more inclined to adopt him out to someone who has experience with the breed but ill rehome to someone who has reptile experience and is willing to learn what he needs. Not going to first person who likes him but a good home. Price is negotiable, not free but I’m more looking for someone who will care for him! Can be cheap if I think your going to be a good happy loving home for him!
Thank you for your time,
At this time email is best to get a hold of me.
