General Assembly Job Description General Assembler will be working on all stations of the production line and will need to follow all job assignments so they can measure, cut and assemble doors and windows. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Gain hands-on experience learning the different types of materials used in door and window manufacturing. • Perform all jobs required to prepare the materials for the assembly of doors and windows and then assemble and pack them. • Must be able to work as a team. • Ability to read and use a tape measure. • Clean and pack goods to be shipped. • Inspect product you are assembling to identify defects. • Ensure all company policies are followed including use of time clock, break and lunch times. • Maintain and clean work area and equipment. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: • Self-motivated with the ability to get along well with others. • Must be able to work with and use hand and power tools • Must be able to lift/push/pull and carry up to 40lbs and 70lbs intermittently. • Must be able to work an 8 hour shift with some overtime and occasional Saturdays. • Must have the ability to stand on feet bend, twist, etc. for entire duration of the shift. • Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
