A Construction Laborer will support and assist Foremen and Superintendents with on-site projects, by filling labor intensive roles in varying capabilities, including but not limited to, performing industrial cleaning, commercial light construction, material removal. A Laborer ensures safe operation procedures are exemplified, uses the proper tools and techniques for the project, and works to complete jobs as scheduled. Must have own transportation to job sites. Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life 401K, Vacation Hours and Sick Hours *Must submit resume (email or drop off) or pick up job application at 1501 Eastman Ave., Ventura, CA 93003 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm TYPICAL DUTIES:  Willingness to learn construction skills on-site.  Capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely.  Show up on time, ready to complete assigned tasks with a good attitude.  Follow directions of Foreman/ Superintendent/ and confirm daily duty if necessary.  Respect self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors and clients at all times.  Take care of company owned or rented equipment or property.  Self-motivated to learn new skills and trades.  Versatile in methods used to complete tasks.  Assist in set up and tear down of equipment.  Gather proper tools needed to perform the tasks being completed, and have the knowledge of these tools and their application.  Preparation for job site construction for different trades.  Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.  Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew.  Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew.  Overtime, Saturday and holiday work may be required.  Organize inventory / equipment in an effective manner.  Understand the dangers of the equipment and recognize them.  Show awareness of spacing to complete the job effectively and efficiently.  Attend safety meetings and follow safety policies, regulations, and procedures.  Other duties as assigned. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:  Safely lift, push or pull up to 60 lbs.  Stand and/or walk up to 75% of the time on the job.  Squat, kneel, bend, reach, pull, walk, climb continuously for up to 8 hours a day.  Work Saturday shifts as necessary.  Able to effectively communicate in the business language (English).  No experience in general construction company.  Excellent communication, organizational and listening skills.
