Farm Laborer/Harvester for a mushroom farm Prior knowledge of mushrooms is not necessary for this job. This is not a job to apply for if you want to learn about mushrooms as this is strictly a farm labor job. WE NEED SOMEONE THAT CAN WORK THEIR WAY UP TO A MANAGEMENT LEVEL - Full-time, 40 hours per week Wednesday–Sunday (8am-4pm, paid ½ hour lunch). Paid training - The pay is $12 an hour to start, pay will increase by $1 increments as you increase your work speed and are able to take on more tasks. Ideally, you will be making $15 an hour within a few months. You will be paid in cash every week. The job takes place indoors. Requirements • Able to commit to a long-term position with us. • Dependable and show up to work on time. • Able to work alone and follow written instructions. • Must have the ability to increase harvesting speed with training provided. • Able to stand and walk continuously. • Must be able to move hands at a continuous, fast pace to keep up with production flow. • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task and attention to detail. • Able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. • Valid driver’s license. • Self-motivated and honest. Duties & Responsibilities- you may be assigned other tasks as well, tasks vary every day • Harvesting mushrooms. • Cleaning of work area (sweeping/mopping). • Moving 5-pound bags repetitively for an hour or more at a time. • Driving between 2 locations • Detailed work such as bagging dried mushrooms and applying labels to products. • Keep in daily communication (during workdays) with farm owners regarding tasks and updates.
