Description
I am a disabled veteran. I have a spacious clay workshop, fully equipped for production and firing up to cone 10 with two kilns and a wheel that can center up to 30 mpounds. I have storage & drying space as well as building/throwing tools.
I do NOT have running water IN the workshop, there is a sink outside about 25 feet away.
I have a year of self taught experience and am learning more every day. if you are novice I will teach you what I know, I am ready learn if you are experienced, especially with the kilns.
The workshop has space for two people to work at a time. I am seeking 1-2 folk who want to work clay. If you want to share the workshop with me exclusively there is 2-4 hours of cleaning and upkeep a week to do. If you prefer a lighter schedule this work can be shared amongst several people who could then schedule their work and production shifts separately. If you have something other than labor to trade we can talk.
Work-trade is a legal and legitimate form of commerce in America. Rental of a shared ceramics workshop space costs around $150-250 monthly and does not include storage space or kiln space. Here you can work trade and have it include both of these. 2-4 hours weekly is equivalent to $20-30 an hour on that basis.
The type of work that needs doing is PHYSICAL LABOR. We will take care of a clay workshop which reqires CLEANING, LIFTING, BENDING, and more. it is heavy dirty work. Kiln care and repair. Moving supplies and equipment, upkeep of space including cleaning up after your own work which must be done in any shared space.
Ask questions if hou have them. come for a visit. see if it is a fit.
