We are looking for an experienced animal caretaker for a privately-owned ranch in San Juan Capistrano. Ideal candidate will be a seasoned dog walker, kennel attendant, groomer, rancher, or other animal care provider with good communication skills.
Duties include working with large breed dogs including exercise, health checks and administration of any prescriptions, ensuring cleanliness of kennel, and other hands-on activities related to animal care. The person should be a true animal lover who can confidently work with large dogs or other larger animals, and hard worker who enjoys being outside. Some ability to fill out job duty checklists or basic work reports for the manager is required. We like to explore livestock projects and the ideal candidate will be interested in working with all types of animals in addition to dogs.
This is a part-time position to start with up to 20 hours per week. Some weekend presence may be required. The Hourly rate can range from $20-$25 per hour. Compensation will be based on your experience and ability.
