Bathroom door needs fixing

The bathroom doorknob got stuck and wouldn't open and it locked my mother in the bathroom. Does anyone know if this door can be fixed easily? If so how can it be fixed? Also, if you are able to do it, please tell me how much you'd like to be paid to do it.
